Where compassion meets care, and service becomes a way of life.
A Day of Seva and Healing
At the serene campus of Akal Academy, Rajia, a remarkable act of compassion unfolded the 56th Free Medical Check-Up Camp, organized in remembrance of Mata Bhagwan Kaur Ji and Mata Tej Kaur Ji on their 10th death anniversary.
This wasn’t just another health camp, it was a celebration of sewa, humanity, and community spirit a tradition carried forward by The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, dedicated to serving the rural heartlands of North India.
Doctors of Hope
A team of medical experts from Free Medical Care Society (Patiala) including Dr. H.P.S. Sandhu, Dr. D.S. Gill, Dr. Manohar Singh, Dr. M.R.S. Mehta, Dr. Ravikant, and Dr. Ravinder Kumar worked tirelessly to provide free check-ups to nearly 400 patients.
From diagnosis to medication, every patient received free care and heartfelt attention, ensuring that no one’s healing was hindered by financial limitations.
Words of Appreciation from the Hon’ble Guest
The event was graced by Rajya Sabha Member S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, who commended The Kalgidhar Trust’s tireless commitment to serving both the mind and the body through education and healthcare.

Inspiring the Next Generation
For students, this event was more than an activity it was a living lesson in empathy, teamwork, and selfless service (sewa). It reminded them that success is not just measured by grades, but by the number of lives one can uplift.
“Serving others is the highest form of education,” said one student volunteer with a smile.
