Akal Academies Pledge to Celebrate Diwali with Peace, Joy, and Environmental Awareness

Spreading Joy Without Firecrackers

In an effort to improve the environment and to curb pollution this Diwali, students from various Akal Academies had earlier joined together.
Students from various Akal Academies gathered at Bhai Desa Academy to pledge a cracker-free Diwali.
Around 930 students from nearby academies like Akal Academy Mander, Kauriwara, Uddat Saidewala, and Akal Academy Cheema joined this initiative to promote eco-friendly celebrations in their villages.

Students Inspired to promote Environmental Awareness and Sustainability

During the event, Dr. Charanjeet Singh, Director of Punjab’s Pollution Control Board, highlighted the harmful effects of crackers on the environment and living species. Also, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Jain, SLIET Longwal, and volunteer Manjeet Singh Bakshi, D.P.R.O., also motivated children to preserve the environment.

Fostering Brotherhood and Compassion among Students with enjoyable activities

The event was followed by a quick quiz, which comprised of questions related to information imparted by the doctor, where students were divided into teams, with House Amul emerging victorious and earning a historical- place trip post-Diwali.

Principal Gurjeet Kaur Chahal thanked the guests for their valuable insights and presence at the event.
