The sun rose over Fatehabad with an electrifying buzz as more than 200 young martial artists gathered for the historic 1st District Gatka Championship. Standing tall among them were the determined and disciplined students of Akal Academy, Ajitsar Ratia ready to channel their inner warriors and carry forward the spiritual legacy of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. Trained under the expert eyes of Gurdhian Singh and Veerpal Kaur, these students were the symbols of Sikh valor, cultural pride, and youthful perseverance.
The Girls Who Roared Louder Than Steel
The Gatka field saw a powerful storm led by the fearless girls of Akal Academy:-
- Under-11 Girls won 4 Gold Medals.
- Under-14 Girls won Gold in Free Soti, Silver in Single Soti, Gold in Team Demo.
- Under-17 Girls won Gold in Single Soti.
Their synchronized moves, sharp focus, and fearless expression left the audience spellbound. Every swing of their soti was a statement of strength and sisterhood.
Boys of Valor – Fighting with Heart, Winning with Honor
The boys stood no less glorious on the battlefield:-
- Under-11 Harjot Singh won a Gold Medal.
- Under-14 Boys won a Silver in Single Soti.
- Under-17 Boys won a Silver in Free Soti.
Their performances echoed the teachings of discipline, focus, and physical prowess all pillars of Akal Academy’s holistic education philosophy.
Celebration of Spirit Back Home
As these champions returned, Zonal Director Sardar J.S. Saggu and Principal Amanjeet Kaur received them with pride and love. Speaking on the occasion, they said “Gatka keeps us rooted and strong.”
The students were honored amidst resounding cheers, garlands, and an atmosphere beaming with victory and cultural pride.
