Akal Academy Gomtipul Celebrates Guru Ramdas Ji’s Prakash Purab with Divine Melodies

A Day of Devotion Begins in Darbar Sahib

The celebration commenced with the serene routine of morning Nitnem in the Darbar Sahib. Under the divine presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the atmosphere quickly blossomed into one of reverence and spiritual bliss.
Guided by the teachings of Gurmat, it was a spiritual journey led by the students themselves.

Remembering a Life of Selfless Service

To introduce the life and legacy of Guru Ramdas Ji, Mr. Harpreet Singh (Punjabi Teacher) shared touching insights into Guru Sahib’s unparalleled humility, dedication to humanity, and the founding of the holy city of Amritsar.
His words illuminated Guru Sahib’s enduring message of seva (selfless service), unity, and devotion to the divine.

Young Voices, Eternal Praise – A Musical Tribute

What followed was a series of soul-stirring performances.
– The girls of Class IX uplifted every soul present with a heartfelt Shabad, played melodiously on the harmonium, casting an aura of peace over the gathering.
Gurleen Kaur from Class IX then took the stage to deliver a beautifully articulated speech, narrating episodes from Guru Ramdas Ji’s life that highlighted his humility and deep spiritual insight.
– The boys of Class X presented a powerful kavishri, poetically honoring the Guru’s contributions and unwavering faith. Their rhythm and passion brought the stories of the past vividly to life.
– As a concluding musical offering, the girls of Class XI performed Shabad Kirtan that left the sangat spellbound. The spiritual vibrations of their voices seemed to merge with the divine, turning every ear into a doorway to bliss.

Ardass, Hukamnama & Blessings

As the ceremony drew to a close, a heartfelt Ardass was performed, invoking Guru Sahib’s blessings on all students and staff. The Hukamnama was humbly taken by a student from Class VII, symbolizing the involvement and empowerment of even the youngest members of the sangat.
All students from Classes VI to XII attended the celebration, participating in a sacred experience that will surely stay with them as a spiritual anchor in their growing years.

Guided by Guru Sahib – Lessons for Life

The entire program was organized under the gentle supervision of Music Teacher Mr. Surinder Pal Singh, whose guidance ensured that every child not only performed, but also understood the meaning behind every hymn and word spoken.
The celebration was about living his teachings.

A Message to All Students

The legacy of Guru Ramdas Ji is stated in the pages of Sikh history about how we treat one another, how we serve without expectation, and how we sing our truth with love and devotion. Let us carry this light forward not only during ceremonies, but in every classroom, corridor, and conversation.
