Akal International Gurmat Camp 2025 – A Spiritual Summer Retreat in the Himalayas

Discover Peace and Purpose in the Himalayas

Every year, Akal Academy Baru Sahib opens its serene doors to seekers from around the world through the Akal International Gurmat Camp — a spiritual retreat designed for all age groups. The 2025 camp will run from 7th July to 14th August, offering a unique blend of learning, devotion, and inner transformation in the divine setting of Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.

Connect with Sikh Heritage and Gurbani

Participants will immerse themselves in Punjabi language learning, explore Sikh history, and gain insights into the eternal teachings of the Sikh Gurus. Special emphasis will be placed on Santhiya (correct pronunciation) of Gurbani, helping attendees build a deeper, more accurate connection with the scriptures.

Experience the Magic of Gurmat Sangeet

The camp also introduces attendees to Gurmat Sangeet, a traditional form of devotional music. Learners will get hands-on experience with rare and sacred instruments such as the Rabab, Taus, Dilruba, Sitar, and more — reviving the musical heritage of Sikhism in its purest form.

Embrace Sikh Art through Calligraphy

Alongside music and learning, participants will explore the meditative art of Sikh calligraphy. This unique offering allows one to blend devotion with creativity, enhancing the spiritual experience with artistic expression.

A Camp That Transforms the Soul

This isn’t just a summer activity — it’s a life-changing opportunity to grow in Sangat, learn with love, and live Gurmat. Surrounded by nature and guided by spiritual wisdom, this camp promises a journey of identity, clarity, and awakening.
