The final quarter buzzer echoed across the court. The crowd held its breath. Then cheers erupted. Coach D.S. Randhawa stood tall on the sidelines, pride gleaming in his eyes. His team had once again proven that persistence beats pressure, that passion outlasts fatigue, and that discipline drives dreams.

From Corridor Bells to Court Calls

Every time the ground-time bell rings, there’s a stampede not to the canteen, but toward the basketball court. Upstairs, the air buzzes with excitement as young players pick up the ball with purpose. Layups, Dribbles, Defensive stances, Shot after shot, sweat trickles and hearts pound. But no one complains. For these young athletes, the court is their classroom. The game is their teacher. And every day, they’re learning the most important lesson – greatness is never gifted but is earned.

Victories That Speak Volumes

What began as a routine practice ended in remarkable results. Akal Academy Baru Sahib’s basketball team proudly secured:

• 2nd Place at the prestigious St. Lukies Tournament, where 32 top-tier Himachal Pradesh teams competed.
• 3rd Place at the North Zone CBSE Cluster Tournament an elite showcase of India’s best school teams.
• State-Level Runners-up in a display of composure, coordination, and courage.

Every victory was a stepping stone. Every loss was a lesson. But none of it could shake their spirit.

What Drives a Champion?

Coach Randhawa reminds his players, “Your talent is your supporter, but your performance is your greatness. Never give up.” Under his leadership, the team turned every doubt into determination. And in return, they received not just medals, but something greater acknowledgment from Baba Iqbal Singh Ji himself and the deep satisfaction of representing their academy with honor.
