barublogBhupinder Singh, an alumnus of Akal Academy Bharyal Lahri and Baru Sahib, has achieved a significant milestone in his journey towards excellence. Hailing from the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, Bhupinder completed his primary education at Akal Academy Bharyal Lahri and continued his studies at Akal Academy Baru Sahib for his ninth grade. Currently, he is pursuing his graduation from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College in Chandigarh.
This year, Bhupinder Singh was chosen as an Indian Delegate to Singapore under the prestigious NCC Youth Exchange Programme. Out of 100 NCC cadets selected from across India, he had the unique honor of being the only Sikh cadet among them. As part of this delegation, 20 cadets, along with 4 armed forces officers, embarked on a journey to Singapore from November 19 to November 28, 2015. Other cadets were dispatched to countries like Russia, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.
A moment of immense pride occurred during a cultural presentation in Singapore, where Bhupinder showcased the traditional Sikh martial art of Gatka. His performance was met with admiration from cadets representing various countries, making it a memorable and respectful representation of Sikh heritage on an international platform.
Bhupinder’s accolades do not stop there. In January, he participated in the Republic Day Camp in Delhi, where his NCC directorate team emerged victorious, securing the first position across India. He had the distinguished honor of receiving the Championship Banner from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, his achievements were recognized by the Governor of Haryana, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, who lauded Bhupinder for his exceptional contributions.
In reflecting on his success, Bhupinder expresses deep gratitude to Baba Iqbal Singh Ji for their blessings and teachings, which have guided him throughout his journey.
