A Movement of Seva, Solidarity, and Hope
In the aftermath of the devastating Punjab Floods 2025, thousands were left stranded without food, shelter, or support. Amidst this crisis, The Kalgidhar Society – Baru Sahib emerged as a ray of hope, transforming despair into determination through the power of seva (selfless service).
Turning Classrooms into Shelters, Kitchens into Lifelines
Within hours of the disaster, the Society mobilized its relief teams across the flood-hit regions.
Classrooms became temporary shelters for displaced families, while langar kitchens tirelessly served thousands of meals every day, ensuring that no one slept hungry. Volunteers, staff, and students came together, working hand in hand with local authorities to bring relief where it was needed most.
Prefab Homes – Rebuilding Lives with Dignity
Beyond emergency relief, The Kalgidhar Society took a step further by initiating the construction of prefabricated homes. These homes offered stability, safety, and dignity to flood-affected families—helping them rise again from the ruins.
This initiative transformed flooded villages into centers of resilience and recovery, setting an example of how seva can rebuild not just homes but entire communities.
Recognized by the Nation, Driven by One Spirit – Seva
The Society’s remarkable humanitarian efforts have drawn recognition from several national media platforms, including Republic World, OneIndia, Mid-Day, The Free Press Journal, The Quint, and Businessworld.
Each acknowledgment reflects the impact of collective compassion and the unwavering commitment of those driven by one spirit—Seva.
