Harpreet’s debut feature documentary, The Widow Colony – India’s Unsettled Settlement, became the first Sikh film screened at the Canadian and UK Parliament and was later shown at the United States Congress. This milestone brought global attention to the struggles of Sikh widows after the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Highlighting Farmer Suicides in Punjab
Her documentary, A Little Revolution – A Story of Suicides and Dreams, takes a heartbreaking look into rural Punjab, telling the stories of children who lost their farmer parents to suicide. Through her humanitarian efforts, Harpreet has positively impacted hundreds of children in Punjab’s villages, giving them a voice on an international stage.
