The Encounter That Led to the Attack
Sandeep was with his friend, Baldey Singh, wrapping up their evening after dinner. As they stood on the street, a white pickup truck pulled up. According to Baldey, the driver slowed down and yelled a racial slur at them. In response, Sandeep, visibly annoyed, hit the truck with his hand.
Tensions Escalate
The driver then stopped, got out of his vehicle, and appeared to be holding an object. Fearing for their safety, Sandeep and his friends became alarmed. A heated exchange of words ensued before the driver returned to his truck.
However, Sandeep was determined not to let the aggressor escape. He stepped in front of the truck, intending to call the police and hold the driver accountable. In a horrifying turn of events, the driver accelerated and ran over Sandeep.

A bystander named Tony witnessed the gruesome scene and rushed to help. “The way the guy dragged him, he has no heart, seriously—he’s heartless,” Tony said. He described Sandeep’s dire condition, stating, “He was like ‘I can’t breathe,’ he was all slashed up and cut—there was a lot of blood.”
