When the floods swept through Punjab, they didn’t just wash away homes—they carried away dreams, safety, and peace. But even in the darkest hours, compassion rose higher than the waters. Through collective goodwill and unwavering community spirit, new hope began to take shape — one home, one family, one heart at a time.
A Shelter for the Brave and Resilient
Today, four flood-affected families have found new beginnings under newly built roofs — a powerful testament to what humanity can achieve together.
- Sardool Singh — Village Ghumanwal, District Amritsar
- Ranjit Singh, Rakesh Kumar & Shrishtha Devi — Village Kahna, District Gurdaspur
Each prefabricated home is equipped with essentials such as gas stoves, refrigerators, and a three-month ration, ensuring not just survival but dignity and comfort. These homes are more than just structures — they are symbols of resilience, hope, and a community’s determination to rebuild what nature destroyed.
Turning Compassion into Concrete Change
This remarkable initiative was made possible through the heartfelt support of Donatekart
in collaboration with The Kalgidhar Society, Baru Sahib. Every contribution became a brick of hope and every donation, a roof of compassion.
Special appreciation goes to Mr. Sarang Bobade, Founder & CEO of Donatekart, and Mr. Apurav Dogra for their dedicated commitment to this mission of rebuilding lives.
Together, We Can Rebuild More Homes
While these four families now live under safe, secure roofs, many others are still waiting to find shelter and stability. The journey of recovery is long, but with your support, we can continue to rebuild lives — one home, one family at a time.
Let’s keep the spirit of humanity alive and ensure no family is left without a roof over their heads.
