Children and young people are among the most vulnerable on our roads. To instill safe habits early on, Akal Academy, Salamkhera organized an engaging and enlightening Road Safety Competition on December 10th, 2014. The event was more than a contest it was a movement to raise awareness and responsibility among the youngest citizens of our community.
Knowledge on Wheels – The Competition Unfolds
Students from classes III–V and VI–VIII participated with zeal, bringing creativity, clarity, and commitment to the theme of road safety. With informative posters, compelling speeches, and thoughtful presentations, our young ambassadors didn’t just learn the rules of the road they became advocates for them.
A Journey of Excellence
Three students from each group were selected for the Block Level Competition held on December 13th. Competing among peers from various schools, our students made us proud by securing the First Position and qualifying for the District Level.
At the District Level, the team of Simran Kaur, Anshnoor Kaur, and Avnoor Singh (from Class III–V) earned an impressive Second Position, showcasing their deep understanding of road safety and their ability to inspire others. Their efforts were recognized with certificates and prizes, igniting a spark of pride and responsibility in the entire academy.
A Lifelong Lesson
Road safety education is not just about traffic signs and rules it’s about shaping a mindset of care, caution, and community. These competitions are vital in nurturing responsible pedestrians, cyclists, and future drivers. The initiative has helped our students think critically, act responsibly, and spread life-saving awareness in their families and beyond.
Students Who Inspire Safety
Through their participation, our students are setting an example for their peers by learning important life skills. They remind us all that safety begins with awareness and awareness begins with education.
