Tiny Voices, Big Impact – Akal Academy, Dhotian Students Lead the Fight Against Drugs for a Greener Punjab

Rally for a Drug-Free Future

Under the leadership of Principal Ms. Kuljeet Kaur, the students and teachers came together for a rally aimed at raising awareness about the devastating impact of drug and alcohol abuse.
With heartfelt slogans and determined faces, students of Akal Academy Dhotian  walked the streets, inspiring everyone that Punjab once celebrated as the land of the pious must rise again, free from the chains of addiction.

Planting Seeds of Hope

This rally wasn’t just about fighting what’s wrong, it was also about growing what’s right. Students distributed free saplings to shopkeepers and homes, urging them to plant trees in their surroundings.
The message was “Let’s heal not just our people, but also our planet.”
The effort tied in with The Kalgidhar Trust’s initiatives, which include free drug de-addiction centres and a strong push towards environmental care.

From Dhotian to Taran Taran Sahib

The rally began in Akal Academy, Dhotian and wound its way through Sairon and Rohi, passing bustling markets at Borhi Wala Chowk before concluding at the sacred Darbar Sahib Gurdwara in Taran Taran. Along the way, they reached not only the ears but also the hearts of villagers and shopkeepers.

Principal’s Vision

“We are looking forward to organizing such rally drives twice or thrice every year,”
said Ms. Kuljeet Kaur “These children are not just learning about change they’re becoming the change.”

Why This Matters

These young students have shown that age is no barrier when it comes to making a difference. With their voices, their steps, and their saplings, they are:-
• Fighting the drug menace eating away at Punjab’s youth.
Spreading hope through environmental responsibility.
Inspiring families to join hands in building a healthier, cleaner, and more conscious community.
