WIth a Walkathon and Nukkad Nataks, Young Changemakers Leading the Fight Against Drug Abuse

Young Feet Walk for a Drug-Free Tomorrow

Under the open sky and along the streets of nearby villages, the students of Akal Academy Dakra Sahib took a powerful step beyond their classrooms carrying with them not just banners and slogans, but a message of hope, responsibility, and change.
This was not an ordinary walk, it was a Walkathon with a purpose, supported by impactful Nukkad Natak (street plays), aimed at spreading awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of making healthy life choices.

The Nukkad Nataks ( Street Plays) That Spoke to Hearts

Through thoughtfully written slogans, hand-made banners, and emotionally stirring street performances, students brought attention to a harsh reality that Drug addiction does not affect one individual alone it touches families, shatters communities, and dims futures. The stories crafted and played out in the peoples local dialect in the Nukkad Natak conveyed the message deep to their hearts.
Their performances highlighted:-
The dangers and long-term impact of drug abuse.
The power of a healthy, disciplined lifestyle.
The need for collective responsibility in building a drug-free society.
Every word spoken and every step taken carried sincerity, courage, and conviction.

Education That Builds Responsible Citizens

At Akal Academy Dakra Sahib, education goes beyond textbooks. Activities like these help students understand their role in society and empower them to become active contributors to positive change.
By stepping into the community, students learned:-
How awareness can transform mindsets.
How courage can inspire conversation.
How youth can become catalysts for social reform.
They were not performing, they were leading by example.

When Young Voices Lead the Way

As the students walked and performed, their voices echoed through the streets not as mere participants, but as young messengers of awareness, urging people to reflect, understand, and act. Sometimes, change doesn’t begin with grand gestures.
It begins with:-
A walk taken with purpose.
A voice raised with courage.
A message spoken from the heart.

Inspiring Change, One Step at a Time

The Walkathon and Nukkad Natak organized by Akal Academy Dakra Sahib stand as a shining example of how youth-led initiatives can spark awareness and hope.
Because when students choose to speak up for what’s right, they don’t just raise awareness they help shape a healthier, stronger future for all.

Akal Academy Dakra Sahib – educating minds, empowering voices, and inspiring change.
