Life is full of challenges, but with unwavering faith and support, success is achievable. This belief resonates deeply with Harjap Kaur, a small-town girl from Muktsar, whose inspiring journey highlights the importance of education, determination, and the invaluable role of family and mentors.
The Foundation of Strength – Family Support
Born to lecturer parents, Harjap was instilled with the values of perseverance and resilience from an early age.
“My parents were my first teachers. They taught me to never give up and supported me in every decision,” she recalls.
Their decision to enroll her at Akal Academy Muktsar shaped her future. Although reluctant at first, Harjap soon found comfort in the nurturing environment of the school.
A Second Home – Akal Academy Muktsar
Initially hesitant, Harjap vividly remembers the support of her class in-charge, Mrs. Sarbjeet Brar, who treated students like her own children. She fondly mentions Principal Sukhraj Ma’am, an inspiring leader, and Mrs. Sushil Sunita, her greatest mentor.
“Sushil Ma’am taught me to rise after every fall and never lose hope. Her guidance is a cornerstone of my success,” she shares.
Harjap also credits her teachers—Suman Rana Sir, R.P Sir, Surinder Garg Sir, Leena Ma’am, Paramjeet Brar Ma’am, and Kawaljit Sir—for motivating her to dream big.
Turning Dreams into Reality
Inspired by her grandfather’s wish, Harjap chose to pursue a career as a Veterinary Doctor. Currently studying B.V.Sc & A.H, she plans to further her education abroad or join the Indian Army in her field.
“Though my grandfather passed away before my admission, I believe it would bring peace to his soul knowing I am fulfilling his dream,” she says.

Harjap is a strong advocate for girls’ education.
“Every girl deserves the chance to study and achieve her dreams. Education is the key to breaking barriers,” she asserts.
Her message to parents in rural areas is clear:
