My life took a remarkable turn on Vaisakhi Day in 1990, when I joined Akal Academy Baru Sahib. Coming from a humble farming family, this decision proved transformative, guiding me toward my current path.
Witnessing the Growth of a Visionary Institution
As one of the early students of Akal Academy, established in 1986 by Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, I have had the privilege of witnessing its expansion. Completing my +2 in 2000 and being awarded the Sant Attar Singh Ji Gold Medal in 2001 were among my proudest moments.
Support Amidst Adversity
During my 5th standard, my father passed away, leaving our family in financial distress. Babaji ensured my education continued by arranging a 50% concession, a gesture for which I will forever remain indebted.
A Blend of Worldly Education and Spiritual Enlightenment
Akal Academy instilled in me both academic excellence and spiritual grounding. I vividly recall memorizing the entire Nitnem in 7th standard and being awarded the ‘Mahan Kosh’ by Jaivinder Singh Ji for my dedication.
Inspiration from Mentors and a Desire to Give Back
Dr. Davinder Singh Veerji, MD, has been a profound source of inspiration for me. Inspired by his example, I aspire to contribute to Akal Academies by participating in free medical camps and offering my services as sewa.
Maintaining a Lifelong Connection with Baru Sahib
Even today, I feel deeply connected to Baru Sahib. My nephew now studies there, and I visit regularly to attend PTMs and relive the nostalgia of my transformative years.
Looking Ahead – Giving Back to Society
Now settled in life, I aim to contribute to the organization and assist in their humanitarian efforts, carrying forward the values instilled in me by Babaji and Akal Academy.
