“Jee Aaya Nu” everyone! I’m Harman Singh Brar from Muktsar, a proud alumnus of Akal Academy Muktsar, Batch 2007. My academic journey took a transformative turn when I joined Eternal University’s Akal College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Baru Sahib, for my B.Tech.
From Student Life to Infosys – A Journey Fueled by Faith and Focus
Currently, I’ve completed my M.Tech from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, and with the grace of Waheguru and blessings from Baru Sahib, I’ve already secured a job at Infosys – one of India’s leading IT companies.
Overcoming Personal Loss with Strength and Spirituality
My father, the sole breadwinner of our family, passed away in 2009. While life could have taken a hard turn, the strong academic and spiritual foundation laid by Akal Academy and Baru Sahib helped shape me into a resilient and emotionally stable individual.
Family Support and Collective Growth
Thanks to God’s grace, we stayed strong. My sister is happily married, and my younger brother is pursuing Veterinary Sciences after completing his schooling from the same academy that nurtured me.
Baru Sahib’s Lasting Impact on Our Lives
Being in constant touch with Baba Iqbal Singh Ji and surrounded by spiritually grounded individuals at Baru Sahib, I found purpose and clarity. Their teachings inspired my extended family to send their children to Akal Academies. We were educated not only academically but also spiritually — learning the significance of Dastar, Sikh heritage, and values that make us better humans.
Gratitude to Mentors and Fond Memories
Special thanks to my beloved teachers: Jagvinder Kaur Ma’am (my primary teacher), Principal Sukhraj Kaur, and Mr. Baldev Singh (Physics teacher), who played pivotal roles in motivating and guiding me. I also cherish memories of competing in science quizzes, exhibitions, and playing chess up to the district level.
Excitement for the Future and a Message for Students
As I prepare to step into the corporate world with Infosys, I’m filled with excitement and curiosity. My message to students: discipline is the key. Though difficult at times, it shapes your success. Trust your teachers—they guide you better than you may realize.
Advice for Parents – Guide with Wisdom
Dear parents, your experience is your child’s best compass. Don’t always yield to their choices regarding school or career. Guide them wisely, lovingly, and firmly. Schools like Akal Academies offer more than education—they cultivate character.
