A Sacred Morning – Walking the Path of Guru Nanak
In a soul-stirring display of spiritual awakening and devotion, Akal Academy Kajri, in collaboration with Akal Academy Gomti, hosted a transformative Amrit Sanchar Diwas on May 9, 2016. Held under the divine aura of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the event was a celebration of faith, discipline, and the Sikh way of life.
Students, teachers, and parents from both academies gathered in reverence to participate in the sacred ceremony of taking Amrit initiation into the Khalsa brotherhood. The day began with heartfelt Ardas, seeking divine guidance and blessings for the spiritual journey ahead.
The Presence of the ‘Panj Pyaare’ – Guardians of Khalsa Maryada
The sacred Amrit Sanchar was conducted by the revered Panj Pyaare (Five Beloved Ones), who arrived from the holy town of Nanakmatta Sahib. Among them were:
• S. Jaswant Singh Ji (Sewadar, Kajri-Gomti Academy)
• S. Surinder Singh
• S. Bhupinder Singh (Akal Academy Gomti)
• S. Jagveer Singh
• S. Daljeet Singh
• S. Balwinder Singh
• S. Joga Singh
Their presence and leadership lent deep sanctity to the occasion. With Kakkars worn and minds focused, dozens of students alongside their parents pledged their lives to the Guru’s path by taking holy Amrit.
Voices of Inspiration – A Call to Gursikhi
Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind, the esteemed Principal of Akal Academy Kajri, addressed the congregation with words that touched every heart. She encouraged the students and their families to walk proudly as Gursikhs upholding virtues of compassion, humility, courage, and truth.
“It is the beginning of a lifelong journey of spiritual discipline and moral strength.”
Other dedicated members who helped orchestrate the sacred event included Mr. Vattanpreet Singh, S. Hardeep Singh, Mukhtar Singh, Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, and Ms. Navdeep Kaur. Their tireless contributions ensured that the event upheld the highest traditions of Sikh maryada.
A Day to Remember, A Legacy to Live By
As the sweet aroma of Degh filled the air and shabads echoed through the hall, every soul present felt the shift from ordinary to divine. The commitment witnessed on this day reflected the faith of individuals and the collective spiritual spirit nurtured within Akal Academies.
