Maghi Mahotsav at Akal Academy Gomtipul – A Celebration of Spirit, Sacrifice & Sikhi

Welcoming Maghi – A Festival of Remembrance and Resolve

The month of Maghi, sacred and soulful, was welcomed at Akal Academy Gomtipul with deep spiritual fervour and collective reverence. Marking the brave sacrifice of the 40 Mukte (Liberated Ones) who laid down their lives for truth and justice, the academy joined hands with the local Sangat to honour the legacy of valor and devotion.

Akhand Path & Shabad Vaani – Awakening the Divine Within

The celebrations commenced in the Darbar Sahib with the bhog (completion) of Akhand Paths, offered by the local Sangat. The environment was soaked in divine resonance as students sang soulful Shabads and religious poems, infusing the air with the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the sacrifices of his Khalsa. The preparations, true to tradition, began right after Diwali, continuing the spiritual momentum through a continuous chain of Akhand Paths, culminating on Maghi. Both Sewa and Sehaj Path were shared with love by students and community members alike.
