The spirit of creativity, culture, and courage came alive at Akal Academy, Dadehar Sahib, as it hosted its much-awaited Annual Function themed “Symphony of the Senses.” The event was a magnificent blend of expression, talent, and tradition each performance a note in the larger symphony of education and values.
The Stage That Spoke a Thousand Emotions
From soulful Shabad Gaayan to powerful Punjabi Kavishri, from mesmerizing choreographies to dramatic enactments of Sikh history, the stage echoed with the vibrant voices of our students. The performances were living lessons in heritage, identity, and unity.
Gatka Glory – When Tradition Meets Strength
The main highlight of the evening was the exhilarating Gatka showcase a martial art deeply rooted in Sikh heritage. The students stunned the audience with their discipline, grace, and focus as they demonstrated self-defense techniques and warrior spirit. This performance was a declaration of courage and cultural pride.
Weaving Values into Every Act
Interwoven into each performance were timeless teachings family values, social ethics, Sikh Rehat Maryada, and a deep sense of responsibility towards community and self. These performances from textbook were brought alive on stage by students.
A Kaleidoscope of Creativity – The Grand Exhibition
The exhibition ground turned into a mini-universe of innovation and imagination. Students proudly presented:-
• Working and non-working models of science
• Social studies and heritage displays
• Artwork crafted from waste material
• A tribute to the famous personalities of Punjab
• Health & hygiene awareness booths
• A stunning scale model of Baru Sahib
• And even a vibrant Mini Trade Fair
The creativity was contagious, and the learning limitless.
Learning by Doing – Student-Led Excellence
What made the function even more special was that it was entirely planned, conducted, and coordinated by the students themselves under the loving guidance of their teachers. From behind-the-scenes planning to stage presence, it was student empowerment in action.

The event also honored the academic and extracurricular achievers of the past session those who showed that hard work and humility always shine the brightest.
Words of Wisdom from the Guest of Honour
Prof. Tejinderjit Singh Ji (Zonal Director) and his wife graced the occasion and were visibly moved by the dedication and depth displayed by the students. Visiting every exhibition stall, they engaged with students and praised their holistic growth. He aptly called the event a “true symphony of the five senses” a celebration of what happens when education touches mind, body, and soul.
The Grand Finale – A Celebration to Remember
The vibrant colors, confident smiles, and thunderous applause marked the end of an event that will live long in the hearts of everyone present. It was a celebration of identity, creativity, and inner strength.
