Marching Against a Silent Killer
In the heart of Punjab, where fields bloom and traditions thrive, a silent storm has been creeping in stealing peace, shattering families, and choking futures. This storm is drugs.
Recognizing the gravity of this growing threat, the brave young daughters of Akal Academy, Gomtipul took a powerful stand. On 2nd November, they stepped out not just as students, but as crusaders champions of awareness, education, and social change.
The Rally for a Drug-Free Tomorrow
Girl students from Classes VIII to XII, dressed in their school uniforms and armed with placards, banners, and loud chants, marched through the nearby villages of Begpur. Their voices rang clear through the fields and streets with powerful slogans like:-
• “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life”
• “Your Future Matters Stay Clean”
• “Drugs End Dreams Don’t Let Yours Die”
They were raising consciousness through slogans. Every stop in the village became a classroom. Every passerby became a student.
Educating Every Ear, Touching Every Heart
The girls explained how different types of drugs harm the body and mind how they affect relationships, finances, health, and dignity. They shared tips on how villagers could protect their children and themselves from the lure of drugs.
Whether speaking to a group of young boys gathered near a bus stop, to mothers peeking out from courtyards, or elderly folks watching from verandas these young educators made an unforgettable impact.
Young Voices, Big Impact
What made this rally powerful was the messengers themselves adolescent girls who chose action over silence, awareness over ignorance.
As one participant said – “We are the daughters of this soil. If our brothers fall, our homes fall. If our families suffer, our future suffers. This is our fight.”
Lighting the Torch of Hope
The Principal and teachers of Akal Academy, Gomtipul praised the initiative, noting how the students actions showed the true essence of education service to society.
