Four Houses, One Culture

Students from Grades VI to VIII were divided into four house groups Atul, Amul, Abhai, and Ajai each bringing a unique flavor and rhythm to the stage. Under the watchful eyes of judges Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Ms. Ritu Bala, and Ms. Baljeet Kaur, the young poets captivated the audience with passionate and lyrical expressions of heritage, history, and humanity.

Voices That Rose Above

Among the many shining stars, these poets left an unforgettable impression:-

• Jaskirat Kaur – Amul House
• Jasmeen Kaur – Abhai House
• Tanvir Kaur – Ajai House
• Gurjinder Kaur – Abhai House
Their choice of words, diction, and confidence reflected their talent with a deep reverence for their mother tongue.

A Culture Revered, A Language Revived

The echoes of “Bole So Nihal” mixed with the cadences of Punjabi verse created an atmosphere that was as spiritual as it was artistic. This competition was a movement to bring Gurmukhi and Punjabi folklore back into the hearts of the young generation.

A Word from the Principal

Principal Harpreet Kaur expressed immense pride in the efforts of the participants and emphasized the importance of preserving linguistic identity in the face of modernization. “Our language is a gift from our Gurus by nurturing it, we nurture our roots,” she shared while encouraging all students to explore the treasure of Punjabi literature.

Conclusion – Sadda Virsa, Sadda Maan

The poem recitation competition at Akal Academy, Bilga was a celebration of identity, an ode to ancestors, and a step forward in cultural preservation. Through this platform, the Academy continues its noble mission to ignite minds, nurture souls, and keep the flame of tradition burning bright.
