Serving Humanity on a Sacred Day – Akal Academy, Dhanal Kalan Students Celebrate Guru Ram Das Ji’s Prakash Utsav with Acts of Kindness

Celebrating with Service

Students from Classes 8 and 9 of Akal Academy, Dhanal Kalan, accompanied by their dedicated teachers, chose to honor this holy occasion not just with prayers but with action. They visited Unique Home Jalandhar, a safe haven for orphaned and abandoned girls, to share fruits, smiles, and blessings.
This heartfelt initiative was carried out with the support of the Interact Club, Jalandhar Central, guided by Club Head S. Manjeet Singh, President Sahibpreet Singh, and Secretary Arshpreet Kaur.

A Blessing from the Heart

At Unique Home, the students were warmly welcomed by its inspirational leader, S. Prakash Kaur, an acclaimed activist and CNN-IBN “Real Hero 2011” awardee in the Children’s Education Category. She expressed her deep appreciation for the students’ kind gesture and prayed for their success, noting how acts of compassion create ripples of hope in society.
Her moving words on the reality of the girl child in Punjab left the audience inspired and determined to make a difference.

Lessons Beyond the Classroom

Principal Harpreet Kaur encouraged the students to remain steadfast on the path shown by the Gurus a path of selfless service, humility, and determination. She reminded them that true success lies not just in academic achievement, but in the goodness they bring into the world.

Reflecting on the day, the Principal shared:
“We feel blessed to have had this opportunity to serve, especially on such a sacred occasion. Acts of compassion like this mark the real success of our mission to develop good global citizens, grounded in humanity and capable of bringing peace to the world.”
