The floodwaters have ravaged the peaceful villages of Ferozepur and Gurdaspur , leaving families stranded and helpless.
Responding swiftly to the call of the SDM of Gurdaspur, our brave volunteers became among the first on the ground stepping into boats, wading through turbulent waters, and risking their own safety to bring families back to shore.
It is these times of danger and, The Akal Sewa Team of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib sees it as a call to serve.
Courage in Action
With each rescue, The Akal Sewa Team understands that every second counts, and every life matters. Evacuation and Rescue is the immediate task at hand. But beyond this , they also provide:
- Food and Provisions to the hungry and needy
- Shelter to the displaced.
- And most importantly, Hope and a Connection for further support and aid, to those who have lost everything.
Their mission is not just about flood and disaster relief, it’s about reminding us of the power of compassion and selfless service.
