A Spark from Sidhwan – The Girl with a Zeal to Learn
An inhabitant of Sidhwan village near Amritsar, Jasmeet walks through life with immense spirit and determination.
During her foundation course in the first year, she left no stone unturned in mastering spoken English.
Her exceptional pronunciation skills and ability to learn new words by simply looking at them amazed everyone.
She soon developed such fluency that she often switched to English mid-conversation expressing her thoughts swiftly and effectively.
Leadership in Action – Not Position
“Leadership is action, not position.” Jasmeet embodies this principle through her constant drive for growth and resilience.
Coming from a lower-middle-class background, the “knowledge-hungry Jassi” has built a strong identity with her charismatic personality, especially during her internship at Akal Academy, where she continues to excel. She firmly believes that the virtues of patience and listening pave the way for learning and wisdom. “Speech is a weapon that guides and connects us with the outer world, wherein patience and listening are the stones that sharpen it,” explains Jasmeet with humility and grace.
The Tech-Savvy Dreamer
Beyond academics, Jasmeet is a lover of technology and a curious mind who enjoys learning about new gadgets and scientific breakthroughs.
She has a passion for blogging and was fascinated by the Aakash Tablet, one of the digital tools provided at the training center.
A True Friend and Mentor
Jasmeet not only dreams of personal success but also aspires to uplift others. Her friend Sukhwinder at the training center struggled with forming ideas and speaking fluently. With compassion and dedication, Jasmeet mentored her, helping her develop writing and speaking skills.
Thanks to Jasmeet’s support, Sukhwinder has gained confidence and shown great improvement in her assessments.
A Vision to Educate and Empower
Jasmeet dreams of becoming a Professor, to spread knowledge and open the golden gates of freedom for others like her.
She is among the nine students selected to appear for their 12th CBSE exam in English medium, marking a proud milestone in her academic journey.
