When Three Generations Played as One
From little 6-year-old Simar to her mother and grandmother, three generations stood side by side, playing Gurmat Sangeet on traditional instruments like the taus, tabla, and harmonium. Their performance was a musical show that represents a living testament to how values can be passed from one heart to the next, across time.
They weren’t alone. Another inspiring mother-daughter duo, Anand and her mother, shared this rare experience, filling the hall with melodies that seemed to echo straight from the soul.
From Poems to Panj Pyare
The youngest campers, eyes shining with pride, recited poems and confidently named the Chaar Sahibzadey and the Panj Pyare. Their clarity and confidence showed just how much they had absorbed in only a few weeks of training.
Wisdom from the Elders
In a beautiful interweaving of age and experience, elderly campers took to the stage to deliver a katha on the life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. Their storytelling was deep, moving, and rich with reverence reminding everyone that learning is a lifelong journey.
A Prayer Across Continents
The ceremony concluded with young Gurshan from the USA performing the Ardas. In that moment, borders dissolved. The sangat was one connected by shabad, by shared faith, and by the desire to carry forward the Guru’s teachings.
An Inspiration for Every Student
The Mid-Session Ceremony of Akal International Gurmat Camp was a proof that when we learn together, serve together, and sing together, we grow together.
For students everywhere, this is a reminder that treasure your heritage, share it with others, and let your learning be something that uplifts the world around you.
