Post-retirement, Baba Iqbal Singh turned his attention to fulfilling his mentor’s dream by founding Baru Sahib. Starting with a single classroom in 1986, the initiative has grown into 129 CBSE-affiliated Akal Academies and two universities, benefiting around 60,000 rural children.

Empowering Women through Education

Baba Iqbal Singh launched teacher training programs for young women, providing free training and employment opportunities to over 2,000 girls, empowering them through education and skills.

Recognition and Global Influence

In 2013, Baba Iqbal Singh was named the fifth most influential Sikh by the UK’s Top 100 Sikh Organization. In 2014, the New York State Assembly honored him for promoting tolerance and unity.
