Through this letter, I want to share the most beautiful memories and experiences that have shaped my life, all thanks to the blessings of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib. I come from a Hindu family with two siblings, and we all feel fortunate and proud to have received our education at Akal Academy, Baru Sahib. It was undoubtedly the best childhood anyone could ask for.
Family Support – A Strong Foundation of Respect and Faith
Although we are a Hindu family, my parents were always incredibly supportive and respectful of the values we learned at the academy, whether it was the daily ‘Path’ or the spiritual teachings. Both my parents feel blessed to have been part of the academy, even though I’m no longer there.
Challenges and Growth Beyond School
Reflecting on my school years, life was smooth for our family, though the hardest part was being away from home, which was equally tough for my parents. The real challenge, however, came after school when life in the real world tested everything: time management, strength, and knowledge. But I was well-prepared for this by Akal Academy, which always focused on holistic development. I recall the daily one-hour playtime, which helped us develop physical strength, meditative powers, and Naam Simran, teaching us how to stay calm in turbulent times. The best education and values were imparted by devoted teachers, who led by example.
Influential Teachers – Leading by Example
If asked about my favorite teachers, I’d say every teacher at Akal Academy was special. From caretakers to the teaching staff, everyone contributed selflessly to our growth. They taught us to lead simple lives dedicated to selfless service, asking for nothing in return. They were no less than saints. I still stay in touch with many of them, including my first class teacher, Ms. Julie Ma’am, with whom I frequently chat online.
Career Path – From Leaderz Walk to Family Business
After school, I joined ‘Leaderz Walk Life Skills Education’ as an Assistant Manager, a company focused on soft skills and behavioral training. Currently, I’m involved in my family’s electronics business, where I manage overall operations. In the future, I look forward to strengthening my involvement in the business, applying everything I learned at Baru Sahib to this dynamic field.
Gratitude for Akal Academy – The Foundation of My Success
For everything I am today, I owe it all to Baru Sahib. I am now a happy, confident individual. Looking back, I believe attending Baru Sahib was the best thing that ever happened to me as a child. It’s incredibly gratifying when people in our family and social circle refer to us as examples for their children, not only for our behavior and academic achievements but also for our simple, fulfilling lifestyle.
Message for Current Students and Parents
To the current students at Baru Sahib, you are truly in heaven, experiencing the most precious time of your life. Live each moment with joy, as these memories will stay with you forever. To parents, it takes great courage and divine blessings to raise a child surrounded by saints who provide the best of Gurmat Vidya, scientific education, and overall development. If you get the chance, send your children to Baru Sahib—it’s the best gift you can give them.
