It feels as though time is moving in a full circle, offering fresh opportunities as it takes me back to my roots. Currently, I serve as a Medical Officer at Muktsar Civil Hospital after completing my MBBS. My journey, however, began with my schooling at Akal Academy Muktsar, which laid the foundation for both my academic success and my life’s values.
A Blessing from Baru Sahib
Everything I am today – my academic achievements, my profession, and the deep connection I have with Gurbani – is a blessing from Baru Sahib and the education I received at Akal Academy. The memories from my school days, the bond with friends, the extracurricular activities, and the extra hours of schooling provided by dedicated teachers, stand out as pillars that supported me. These extra hours not only helped me but also relieved my busy professional parents, offering much-needed assistance to families in the village, many of whom were either illiterate or unable to afford private tuition for their children.
Excellence in Education at Akal Academy
One of the key aspects I noticed growing up is how well our students fared in comparison to students from other schools, particularly in spoken English. Contrary to what some might believe, our students excelled in English language proficiency, outperforming many of their peers in various competitions, examinations, and events. This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, who ensured that we were well-prepared and confident in every setting.
Empowering Girls and Securing Futures
As I reflect on my time in the village, one thing I hope for is the empowerment of girls, encouraging them to be more independent. Unfortunately, this remains an area where we still have much progress to make. To the parents of my hometown and surrounding areas, I would urge you to consider the Akal Academies. Unlike many schools in Punjab, Akal Academies provide a drug-free and alcohol-free environment, fostering a clean, safe, and secure atmosphere for all students. This, in my opinion, makes it an ideal choice for your children’s education.
Returning to Muktsar for the Future
Our family spent a few years in New Delhi before returning to Muktsar, and it was only because we wanted our daughter to experience the same quality of education I did at Akal Academy. My deep affection for Baru Sahib and Akal Academy is beyond words, and I am incredibly grateful for the impact it has had on my life.
