Awakening Young Minds Through Awareness
In an inspiring and thought-provoking event, Akal Academy, Uddat Saidewala took a powerful step toward shaping a drug-free future. With the noble goal of protecting students from the clutches of substance abuse, the school hosted a special awareness program featuring Mrs. Surandha Sethi, a dedicated German citizen and anti-drug campaigner who has been actively working in the field since 1980.
A Lesson Beyond the Classroom
The session unfolded through a smart board-enabled PowerPoint presentation, where Mrs. Sethi used impactful images and stories to show how children can unknowingly fall victim to drugs sometimes out of innocence, peer pressure, or simply as a fashion statement.
With clarity and compassion, she highlighted the dangers of substance abuse, delving into the physical and psychological impact drugs have on young lives. She also revealed the hidden dangers of toxic substances commonly found in addictive products.
Knowledge Is Power – Tools for Resistance
What made the session especially empowering was the practical guidance Mrs. Sethi offered. She gave students real, actionable tools to stay clear of addiction and spread awareness among peers and family members. The message was clear:
