Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji By Akal Academy, Gomtipul

The Child Guru Who Healed the World

Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji, known lovingly as “Bal Guru” and “Bala Pritam,” became the youngest of all Sikh Gurus at the tender age of five. Despite his youth, his wisdom, humility, and divine spirit touched countless lives. It was this radiant legacy that the students of Akal Academy, Gomtipul came together to honor with love, discipline, and devotion.

Spiritual Dawn – A Day Begins with Nitnem

The celebration commenced with the collective recitation of Nitnem by all students setting the tone for a spiritually charged day. Their disciplined voices echoed in unison, invoking the blessings of the Almighty and preparing their hearts to connect deeply with Guru Sahib’s teachings.

Sukhmani Sahib – The River of Peace

Following Nitnem, the soothing recitation of “Shri Sukhmani Sahib” filled the air, led by a group of senior students. It was a moment of calm reflection, reminding all present of the eternal peace that Gurbani brings into our lives.

Shabads, Poems & Speeches

The Darbar Sahib turned into a sacred stage where students showcased their spiritual talents and reverence for Guru Sahib:-

  • Master Parminder Singh (Class V) stirred every soul with his soulful rendition of “Dharshan Dekh Jiva Gur Tera” on the harmonium.
  • Rajpreet Kaur and friends brought smiles and reverent joy with the poem “Aj Jagat Nehal Hoya,” celebrating the divine arrival of Guru Sahib.
  • Anushka Mishra delivered a detailed and heart-touching speech on Guru Ji’s life, sharing valuable incidents and lessons from his journey.
  • Manjot Singh (Class IX) followed with a stirring Punjabi speech on Guru Sahib’s compassion, healing touch, and message of humility.

Ardas, Hukamnama & Deg

The Samagam concluded with a heartfelt Ardas led by Gurleen Kaur (XI A), followed by a sacred Hukamnama taken by Harkirat Singh (VIII A). Students of Class XII, with the guidance of staff, performed sewa by preparing and distributing Guru Ji ki Deg (Karah Prashad) to all.

Living the Legacy of Bala Pritam

The celebration was a living tribute to Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji’s message of love, service, and courage. As these young students prayed, performed, and served with sincerity, they showed that age has no bar when it comes to wisdom and devotion.
