For someone from a humble background, Ajaypal Singh Brar could have easily followed the conventional path of farming. But his story took a transformative turn, thanks to Akal Academy. The academy provided him with a strong foundation, shaping him into a dynamic individual.
“I was an all-rounder at school,” shares Ajaypal. “While I wasn’t the top scorer, I was quick and versatile, excelling in science and other subjects.” The vibrant, nurturing environment at Akal Academy played a pivotal role in fostering his confidence and dynamism during his formative years.

Even today, Ajaypal beams with pride whenever he hears about the achievements of Akal Academy students. He fondly recalls how Akal Academy students consistently outshone their peers from rural and even urban schools in competitions, debates, and quizzes.
“Mainu ajj vi maan hunda Akal Academy te. Jad vi main kissey student di achievement barey parhda haan, school ne saanu jehri basic neeh diti hai, usda koi comparison nahi.”
Overcoming Challenges with Adaptability
After completing his schooling, Ajaypal pursued a B.Sc. in Biotechnology and aspired to study abroad in Canada. However, family circumstances led him to reassess his goals. When he discovered limited opportunities for master’s programs in Biotechnology locally, he made the bold decision to switch to Chemistry.
“Thanks to the confidence instilled in me by Akal Academy, I was able to pivot quickly,” Ajaypal reflects. Today, he is on the verge of completing his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Lovely Professional University and is preparing to launch his pharmaceutical company.
His venture will focus on veterinary products, including dog food, mineral mixtures, and supplements.
Spiritual Strength Driving Success
Ajaypal credits Akal Academy for instilling spirituality and religious values in him. The daily recitation of Paath and the spiritual grounding he received have been a guiding force throughout his journey.
He proudly shares how his cousin and fellow Akal Academy alumnus, Karanpal Singh, recently took Amrit and now performs Kirtan. Inspired by his cousin, Ajaypal hopes to embrace Amrit soon and deepen his spiritual connection.

Ajaypal is thrilled to witness the growth of educational institutions like Akal Academy in rural areas. He believes these academies are making significant contributions by providing a safe environment, spreading spiritual knowledge, and guiding the youth away from societal challenges like drugs and alcohol.

Ajaypal holds special admiration for Principal Sukhraj Kaur, whose inspiring personality touched the lives of many students. “Her guidance and motivation continue to influence me deeply,” he says.
