From Abandonment to Academic Brilliance – Rampreet Kaur’s Inspiring Journey

A Heartbreaking Beginning, A Triumphant Transformation

Not all heroes wear capes; some rise from the depths of despair. Rampreet Kaur’s story is one such testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience. Abandoned as a two-month-old baby in a dustbin, her life could have been one of sorrow. But destiny had other plans. Today, at 29, she is a PhD scholar in English, proving that broken beginnings can lead to the most inspiring transformations.

A Father’s Love That Changed Everything

Rampreet’s savior was none other than Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, whom she lovingly calls Babaji. He found her, nurtured her, and gave her a home at Akal Academy Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. Under the care of The Kalgidhar Society, she found not just shelter but a family that saw her potential and encouraged her to flourish.

Nurtured by Education and Spirituality

At Akal Academy, Rampreet’s journey took a transformative turn. The blend of modern education and spiritual teachings shaped her into a compassionate and conscious individual. She discovered her love for music, learning traditional instruments like the sarandha and sarangi—turning emotions into melodies when words failed her.

Academic Pursuits – From Baru Sahib to PhD

Rampreet’s academic excellence was nurtured at Akal Academy, where she completed her Senior Secondary education. She then pursued a Bachelor’s of Education and a Master’s in English at Eternal University, Baru Sahib, Sirmour. Today, she is working on her PhD with a thought-provoking research topic: “Scream from Screen: An Ontological Analysis of the Shoah Image Through the Cinemascape.”

Bridging History and Personal Resilience

Her research delves into how history, literature, and cinema immortalize tragic events like the Holocaust. In many ways, her study mirrors her own journey—an unseen child now standing tall as a scholar and an inspiration to many.

A Call to Transform Lives

Rampreet’s story is a love letter to Akal Academy, Babaji, and every mentor who saw the diamond beneath the dust. It is a reminder that untapped potential lies within us all, waiting for the right hands to nurture it.
