From Farmer’s Son to Inspiring Lecturer

A Transformational Beginning

“I was lucky to have an educated father who switched from farming to teaching in the early nineties,” shares Gurmandeep Singh, now a Lecturer at Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering. Around the same time, Gurmandeep was admitted to Akal Academy Muktsar, a life-changing decision that laid the foundation for his journey.

Roots in Warring Village

Growing up in Warring village, Muktsar, Punjab, Gurmandeep witnessed the stark disparity in educational opportunities. Despite these challenges, he cherished the dedication of his teachers at Akal Academy, whose guidance shaped his academic journey.

Mentors Who Inspired Success

Principal Sukhraj Madam, Jayasiman Sir, Baldev Singh Sir, and Rajinder Kumar Sir instilled in Gurmandeep a deep love for learning. He recalls the extended classes and overtime efforts by his teachers that eliminated the need for external tuitions.

Spiritual Foundation

Beyond academics, Akal Academy introduced Gurmandeep to spirituality through the practice of path. This connection to the Almighty provided him with strength and confidence, which he attributes to the Academy’s nurturing environment.

Dreams and Aspirations

Currently a lecturer, Gurmandeep dreams of transitioning to a government job and exploring entrepreneurial ventures. Despite his ambitions, he remains deeply grateful for the values and education he received at Akal Academy.
