Standing as a Physics lecturer at Springdale College, each time I enter the classroom, I am reminded of the journey that brought me here. It is a journey shaped by the invaluable contribution of Akal Academy Gomti and Eternal University, Baru Sahib. Their impact fuels my passion and energy for teaching and motivates me to give my best.
Humble Beginnings in Pilibhit
Growing up in the rural area of Pilibhit, education was a distant dream. There were no schools nearby, so my father enrolled me in Akal Academy Gomti, located 40 kilometers away. Despite financial struggles, my father ensured I attended school daily, traveling alongside him. Those journeys remain etched in my memory, filled with life lessons he imparted along the way.
Navigating Tough Times During Adolescence
Akal Academy Gomti offered education only up to the 10th grade. After scoring 86% in my 10th board exams, I had to look for other options for my higher secondary education. This phase coincided with a family crisis—my mother’s diagnosis with cancer and her untimely passing. These hardships deepened the financial and emotional strain on my family, making my journey even more challenging.
A Strong Foundation at Akal Academy
Despite the adversities, the holistic education and support I received at Akal Academy Gomti played a pivotal role in shaping me. Beyond academics, I actively participated in football, representing my school in cluster competitions four times. The unwavering guidance of teachers like Mr. Ashok Kumar and Rihan Raza Khan Sir instilled confidence and resilience in me.
From Eternal University to Springdale College
After completing my higher secondary education, I was fortunate to pursue B.Tech in Engineering at Eternal University, Baru Sahib. This became a turning point in my life, as it not only provided me with quality education but also helped me secure a lecturer position at Springdale College. Today, I am not only supporting my family financially but also finding peace knowing my father can finally relax after years of struggles.
Dreaming Bigger – Serving the Nation
While teaching at Springdale College, I am simultaneously preparing for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) to fulfill my dream of serving the nation in the Air Force. This aspiration stems from the values and discipline instilled in me during my formative years at Akal Academy and Eternal University.
Advocating for Better Education in Pilibhit
When I visit my hometown, I deeply feel the need for an Akal Academy in Pilibhit. The absence of accessible schools forces many children to travel long distances for education. Until such an academy is established, I encourage parents to send their younger children to Baru Sahib or Akal Academy Gomti, especially from the 5th standard onwards.
A Holistic Approach to Child Development
Education at Akal Academy is more than academics. It emphasizes extracurricular activities and overall development, essential for a child’s healthy growth. I urge parents to prioritize institutions that nurture both academic and recreational growth for their children. My journey from Pilibhit to Springdale College exemplifies the transformative power of quality education and perseverance. With unwavering faith and the right opportunities, I believe every child can overcome challenges and achieve their dreams.
