From Rural Roots to Global Heights – Amanpreet Kaur’s Journey of Selfless Service

A Humble Beginning in Rural Punjab

I, Amanpreet Kaur, hail from a modest rural village. My father, Rampal Singh, is a hardworking farmer, and my mother is a dedicated homemaker. Growing up, our family faced financial hardships, but my father’s determination and my elder brother’s support from Australia paved the way for my education.

The Foundation of My Education

My educational journey began at Akal Academy Muktsar, where I attended nursery and first grade. Family circumstances led us to relocate, and I continued my studies at Akal Academy Cheema Sahib. Despite financial struggles, my father sold his land to ensure I received a quality education, and my brother constantly motivated me to excel in academics.

A Leap Forward with Akal Academy

The strong foundation laid by Akal Academy enabled me to skip grades and directly join the 6th grade at Guru Teg Bahadur School in Patran City. Later, I completed my +2 in medical sciences at Akal Academy Baru Sahib, which was a transformative phase of my life.

Pursuing Higher Education at Baru Sahib

After finishing high school, I joined Akal College of Nursing at Baru Sahib to pursue a B.Sc. in Nursing. The nurturing environment of Baru Sahib not only helped me excel academically but also spiritually. I graduated with top honors, earning a gold medal and a scholarship.

Becoming a Teacher and Preparing for Global Opportunities

Upon completing my B.Sc., I served as a teacher at the college, which allowed me to give back to the institution that shaped me. Now, I am preparing to pursue my master’s degree in Australia to further enhance my skills and professional career, with a firm resolve to serve others.

Inspiration to Transform My Village

Whenever I visit my village, I am reminded of the stark differences between rural children and those educated at Akal Academy. While Akal Academy students exude confidence and have a clear sense of purpose, many village children remain aimless and uninformed. This disparity motivates me to bring change.

A Vision for Better Education in Rural Areas

Together with my father, I am working to arrange land in our village to establish an Akal Academy. I firmly believe that education can bridge the gap and uplift rural children. Every time I hear that a parent has enrolled their child in Baru Sahib, it fills me with joy.

Transforming Lives Through Spiritual and Moral Values

Akal Academy doesn’t just educate; it instills spirituality and moral values through practices like ‘naam simran’ and ‘nitnem.’ These teachings have transformed me and countless others into better individuals who strive to avoid negativity and promote goodwill.

A Call to Support Rural Education

The transformation I see in my village inspires hope. People are now more aware, and many reach out to me for guidance on enrolling their children in Akal Academies. I believe that with collective efforts, we can ensure that every rural child gets the opportunity to study and flourish. Support girls like me who dream of making a difference. Together, we can provide rural children with equal opportunities to shine and transform their lives.
