From Chalk & Talk to Think & Tinker
In a bold move to revolutionize science education, Akal Academy, Kajri under the visionary guidance of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, and Bharti Bhavan Publications hosted a two-day transformative Science Workshop. No longer about memorizing formulas, science became a language of discovery.
Day One – Strategies that Spark
The opening day was led by resource expert Mr. Rakesh Kumar Awasthi, who lit up the workshop with interactive methods and mind-bending demonstrations. Using simple, everyday materials balloons, paper, metal parts, bottles he redefined the way complex concepts can be taught and understood. His mantra was simple “Make it, Touch it, Understand it.”
Teachers from Akal Academy Gomti, Telipura, and Unnao joined with enthusiasm, crafting self-made tools and activities to make learning engaging and real.
Day Two – Chemistry Beyond the Classroom
The second day dove deep into chemistry and its teaching tools. From mechanics to magnetism, from thermodynamics to electricity teachers explored ways to turn the abstract into the observable. Interactive sessions allowed them to create simple experiments, discuss interpretations, and personalize learning for students of all levels.
Voices of Change
Principal Mrs. Simran Kaur and Mrs. Rangbir Kaur expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource person and appreciated the participating academies for their commitment. They emphasized that such training is vital to unlocking young minds and turning classrooms into laboratories of thought.
A New Chapter in Science Education
This workshop was about awakening a generation of teachers who could go back and awaken countless more students. It was about turning “Science is hard” into “Science is fun.”
What This Means for Students
Dear students, your classrooms are about to change. Get ready for bubbling test tubes, flying paper rockets, magnet tricks, light experiments, and lessons that live beyond the textbook. Because when your teachers are inspired and so are you.
Let’s Make Learning an Adventure
The Science Workshop at Akal Academy, Kajri reminds us all that:-
You don’t need a lab to learn science.
You need curiosity, creativity and a little courage to experiment.
