Inspiring Rural Girls – Manpreet Kaur’s Journey from Akal Academy to Teaching Sciences

Building a Foundation at Akal Academy

Manpreet Kaur, hailing from Village Shaina, completed her +2 from Akal Academy Bhadaur in 2008. These two transformative years laid the foundation for her academic and professional success, providing her with the tools to excel in a language she had previously struggled with—English.

An Academic Journey of Perseverance

After her schooling, Manpreet pursued a B.Sc in Non-Medical from Dayanand Mathura Das College, Moga, followed by a B.Ed from Guru Gobind Singh College of Education, Barnala. Her dedication to education is evident as she continues her M.Sc in Physics while teaching science and math at Singhal Stars, Mansa.

A Passionate Educator Shaped by Mentorship

Manpreet credits Akal Academy’s teachers, especially Rakesh Sharma Sir, for her academic growth. His unique teaching methods, including translating complex concepts from English to Hindi, made learning physics and English easier for students transitioning from Punjabi medium schools.

Empowering Rural Students through Teaching

Before marriage, Manpreet taught at Akal Academy Dhalewal for a year. Now, she is committed to inspiring young minds in rural areas, particularly girls, to pursue education and achieve their dreams.

A Message of Faith and Ambition

Manpreet aspires to secure a government job as a science teacher. She encourages rural girls to honor their parents’ expectations, stay rooted in Sikhi and Gurbani, and prioritize education to achieve personal and professional goals.
