Learning Through Sewa – Akal Academy Reeth Kheri Students Lead with Compassion

At Akal Academy Reeth Kheri, education is not confined to textbooks or examinations. It is deeply rooted in empathy, humanity, and social responsibility. In a meaningful initiative designed to nurture compassionate leadership, students of Classes 8 and 9 participated in a purpose-driven excursion that brought classroom values into real-world action.

This experiential learning journey was centered on understanding the true essence of sewa — selfless service — and giving back to society.

A Noble Excursion with Real Impact

As part of this outreach program, students visited:

  • Old Age Home Rongula
  • Apna Farz Sewa Society
  • Rajindra Hospital Kar Sewa Society

These visits allowed students to connect directly with elderly residents, community volunteers, and individuals in need. More than a visit, it was an opportunity to listen, observe, and understand life beyond their own experiences.

Donating with Dignity and Care

With humility and heartfelt intent, students contributed essential items including:

Clothes, groceries, wheat flour, rice, pulses, sugar, soaps, detergents, shampoo, and other daily necessities.

The act of giving was not about charity alone. It was about building awareness, cultivating gratitude, and learning responsibility at a young age.

Why Value-Based Education Matters

In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, academic excellence alone is not enough. Schools must also nurture character, empathy, and ethical awareness.

At Akal Academy Group of Schools, value-based education ensures that students grow into socially responsible individuals. By introducing children to service-oriented experiences early in life, the institution reinforces that true success lies not only in personal achievement but in uplifting others.

These excursions serve as powerful life lessons:

  • Compassion grows through exposure
  • Gratitude deepens through understanding
  • Leadership begins with service

Learning Beyond Classrooms

The excursion demonstrated that real education happens when knowledge meets action. When young hearts learn to help, they develop emotional intelligence, social awareness, and a lifelong commitment to community welfare.

Such initiatives strengthen the foundation of humanity and service — principles that lie at the heart of Akal Academy’s educational vision.

Because education with purpose does more than inform minds. It transforms lives.
