While reciting Japji Sahib, Guru Ji sang:
“There are worlds upon worlds and many hundreds of thousands of them and hundreds of thousands of skies.” (Japji Sahib, Ang 5)

Hearing this, some onlookers informed Peer Dastgeer that a holy man in a white turban was singing about the existence of countless worlds beyond the seven heavens and underworlds mentioned in the Quran.

The Peer’s Anger and Attempt to Stone Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Upon hearing this, Peer Dastgeer grew enraged, considering Guru Nanak Dev Ji a blasphemer. He incited the people to stone him to death. However, as the angry crowd attempted to throw stones, they became motionless, unable to harm Guru Sahib.

The Peer requested Guru Sahib to prove his words. Guru Ji asked him to look into his eyes. The Peer hesitated and asked Guru Sahib to show his son instead. Within moments, the son left his body and traveled across countless universes. Upon returning, he was shaken and speechless.

The Son’s Testimony and Peer Dastgeer’s Submission

The son described witnessing millions of worlds rejoicing at Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s arrival. He proclaimed, “I believe Guru Nanak is Khuda (God) Himself.” Guru Sahib even brought karah parshad from another world for Peer Dastgeer. Witnessing this miracle, the Peer fell at Guru Ji’s feet in complete submission.
