The Divine Bliss of Anand Sahib – A Sacred Journey of the Soul

Dada Ji’s Storytime – The Secret of True Happiness

It was a chilly evening, and little Gunu cuddled up beside her Dada Ji, waiting for a bedtime story.

“Dada Ji, tell me a special story today,” she said, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.

Dada Ji smiled, gently patting her head. “Alright, my little one, today I’ll tell you a story about a wise old yogi and how he found the secret to true happiness.”

The Yogi’s Search for Happiness

“A long, long time ago,” Dada Ji began, “there lived a very old yogi. He had spent his entire life meditating in deep forests and mountains. He thought that by closing his eyes and staying away from the world, he would find peace and wisdom.

But as he grew older, he felt something was missing. ‘I have meditated for so many years,’ he thought, ‘yet I do not feel truly happy.’

One day, he heard about a kind and wise Guru named Guru Amar Das Ji. Everyone respected him because he guided people on the right path. The yogi decided to visit him and ask, ‘Guru Ji, please teach me how to truly live.’”

A Special Promise

Dada Ji’s voice softened as he continued, “Guru Amar Das Ji looked at the yogi with kindness and said, ‘Leave this body and be born again in my family. Then I will teach you how to live life.’

The yogi was surprised. But because he had great faith in the Guru, he obeyed. Soon after, the yogi left his body in deep meditation.

Sometime later, a baby boy was born in Guru Amar Das Ji’s family. The Guru smiled because he knew—the yogi had returned!”

The Song of Bliss

Gunu’s eyes widened. “Then what happened, Dada Ji?” she asked.

Dada Ji chuckled. “Something very special! Guru Amar Das Ji called the baby to him. Holding him close, he sang a beautiful prayer, the Anand Sahib—the Song of Bliss! And he named the child ‘Anand,’ which means happiness.”

Gunu clapped her hands. “Wow! So that’s how Anand Sahib was made?”

“Yes, my dear,” Dada Ji nodded. “The Anand Sahib teaches us how to find real happiness, not by running away from the world, but by living a good and kind life, just as Guru Amar Das Ji taught. If we understand its meaning and follow its wisdom, we too can find true bliss!”

Gunu snuggled closer, smiling. “Thank you, Dada Ji. Tomorrow, can we read Anand Sahib together?”

Dada Ji kissed her forehead. “Of course, my little one. That will be the best story of all.”
