Cultivating Skills Through Creative Activities

Akal Academy Mander Dona organized a kids’ carnival for students from Nursery to Grade 3. The main objective of this activity was to develop their listening, speaking, and memory skills, essential for language and memory development. The students portrayed various roles, including fruits, vegetables, health-related items like soap and a computer, medical tools, army personnel, and Bhagat Singh. The activities, such as extempore elocution, dramatization, and poems, aimed to boost their confidence.

Vibrant Event Highlights

The competition provided a graded learning experience and a platform for students to explore their talents. Participants included students from Nursery to Grade 2, with Grade 3 students delivering special performances. The program commenced with the recitation of a Shabad, and the theme was centered around “Environment, Fruits, Vegetables, and Freedom Fighters.” Ms. Preeti Arora (Senior Coordinator) and Ms. Harpreet Kaur (Music Teacher) judged the students’ performances.

Celebrating Achievement and Encouraging Participation

Seventy-five students participated, showcasing vibrant costumes based on the theme. It was a delight to see them dressed up as different characters. To motivate the students, prizes were awarded. The 1st prize went to Harpreet Kaur (Grade 2), Kanavjot Singh, and Muskanpreet Kaur (Grade 1), Agampreet Singh (Kindergarten), and Sukhmani Kaur (Nursery). The second prize was awarded to Fateh Singh (Grade 3), Samardeep Singh, Harita Varma (Grade 1), Manraj Singh, and Gurkirat Kaur. The third prize was given to Jaiveer Singh, Joravar Singh, Ekampreet Singh, and Raninder Singh. Manroop Kaur, Amarpreet Singh, Armaan Kumar, and Avnoor Singh received the consolation prize.

Mrs. Manjit Kaur Mahal, Principal of Akal Academy Mander Dona, distributed chocolates and gifts to all participants. Her motivational words inspired the children’s dreams. The program’s success was attributed to the efforts of the Primary Wing Coordinator, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur, and the team, including Baljeet Singh, Meenakshi Sharma, Ranbir Singh, Prabhleen, Sukhdeep, Manvir, Sukhjeet, and Ms. Pooja, the Vice Principal.
