When Teachers Lead the Way – Akal Academy, Ahmedpur Darewala teachers performed Akhand Paths

A Journey of Faith and Commitment

Keeping up with the sacred philosophy of leading by example, the teachers and staff of Akal Academy,  Ahmedpur Darewala undertook a pious and inspiring task performing three Akhand Paths entirely by themselves.
In a true spirit of seva and devotion, the team stayed at the academy for three nights, reciting Gurbani continuously in scheduled shifts. Their dedication became a living testimony of discipline, faith, and teamwork.

Villagers Join in Support

This heartfelt initiative soon became a community celebration. Villagers extended their help in organizing the Bhog ceremony, encouraging the teachers with their presence and enthusiasm.
“We got much encouragement from villagers, their great enthusiasm really supported us in performing our duties,” shared Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, former Principal of the Academy, now leading Akal Academy Rajia.

Grand Celebrations at the Bhog Ceremony

The final week of the month witnessed grand celebrations. Parents and community members gathered in large numbers to be part of the concluding day.
Highlights of the Event:-
Three choreographies by students on Mera Sona Desh Punjab, Naam Khumari Nanaka, and The Sikh History.
Kirtan and poetry sessions by second-class students, filling the hall with purity and devotion.
Anand Sahib recitation by the school’s music teachers, adding a serene grace to the gathering.

Honouring Excellence

The celebrations became even more special when Mrs. Sukhjeet Kaur, Principal of Akal Academy Ellenabad, joined hands with Ms. Gurmeet Kaur, Principal of Akal Academy, Ahmedpur Darewala, to honour the village head. Together, they rewarded students who had secured top positions in the first academic semester, reinforcing the Academy’s mission of blending spiritual depth with academic excellence.

Lessons for All Students

This event wasn’t just about devotion, it was a living classroom. The teachers showed that true leadership comes from walking the path first. Students learned that:-
Faith strengthens discipline.
• Community grows when we share devotion.
• Education is complete only when it nurtures both mind and soul.
Akal Academy, Ahmedpur Darewala’s initiative is a shining reminder that values are not just taught they are lived.
