Ajaypal Singh Brar, a proud alumnus of Akal Academy Muktsar, hails from a modest agrarian family. Born to farmer Gurdeep Singh, who also served as the President of the PTA at Akal Academy for five years, Ajaypal received not material wealth, but the rich heritage of blessings and values. He completed his schooling at the academy between 1995 and 2009.
A Foundation Built on All-Round Development
Ajaypal credits Akal Academy for shaping his dynamic personality. Though he wasn’t always a top scorer, the academy’s spiritually and academically charged environment made him quick, confident, and versatile. “The Academy turned me into an all-rounder,” he says, comparing himself to a cricket player who’s a jack of all trades and master of sciences.
Rural Students with Urban Competence
Recalling interschool competitions, debates, science quizzes, and seminars, Ajaypal highlights how students of Akal Academy consistently stood out. “Our fluency, writing, and confidence were unmatched, even when compared to city schools,” he says with pride. “Mainu ajj vi maan hunda Akal Academy te…”
An Unexpected Turn and a New Academic Path
After completing his schooling, Ajaypal pursued a B.Sc. in Biotechnology and aspired to move to Canada for his master’s. However, family constraints kept him in India. With few options for Biotechnology in his region, he pivoted to Chemistry. Thanks to the resilience he developed at Akal Academy, he quickly adapted and pursued M.Sc. Chemistry from Lovely Professional University.
Launching a Dream – A Pharmaceutical Venture
Now on the verge of completing his post-graduation, Ajaypal is preparing to launch his own pharmaceutical company. The company will focus on veterinary products like dog food, mineral mixtures, and supplements. He credits his confidence and bold decision-making to the values and energy instilled in him at Akal Academy.
Faith, Spirituality, and a Strong Moral Compass
Ajaypal deeply appreciates the spiritual foundation given to him by Akal Academy. His knowledge of Baani, habit of Paath, and spiritual discipline set him apart from many rural youths who lack connection to their roots. He proudly shares that his cousin Karanpal Singh, also an Akal alumnus, recently took Amrit and performs Kirtan—a transformation he hopes to embrace himself in the near future.

Ajaypal is heartened by the growth of Akal Academies across rural areas. In a time when drugs and alcohol threaten youth, he believes these institutions are beacons of hope—offering both spiritual strength and quality education.
