In the serene hills of Himachal Pradesh, where education and spirituality merge, a powerful message echoed through the streets of Akal Academy Baru Sahib — “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”
On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking, students and educators came together not just to raise slogans, but to raise awareness and inspire change.
A Movement Fueled by Compassion and Purpose
The event, organized by Akal College of Nursing, Eternal University Baru Sahib, in collaboration with Akal College of Education and Akal Academy Baru Sahib, featured a dynamic awareness rally and a compelling Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on the devastating impact of drugs.
This initiative isn’t a one-day event — it’s a reflection of a long-standing commitment. Across 130+ Akal Academies, a drug-free, value-based education system is the foundation. Complementing this mission is the Akal Drug De-Addiction Centre, which has been offering free, compassionate treatment and rehabilitation since 2004.
