A Step Towards a Disease-Free Generation
At Akal Academy Gomtipul, classrooms turned into centers of hope and health as the school proudly joined the Nationwide Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccination Campaign an initiative led by The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with The District Health Department, Pilibhit (U.P.).
The campaign, which aims to immunize over 41 crore children aged 9 months to 15 years, represents one of the largest health drives in the world. And on 26th November 2018, the young students of Akal Academy became proud participants in this historic mission.
When School Became a Center of Care
The day began with excitement and awareness as the campus buzzed with students, teachers, and healthcare workers all united with one goal that to knock out measles and control rubella for good.
A team of dedicated health professionals Smt. Ranjana Jauhari, Ms. Oreeti, Mrs. Charanjeet Kaur, Mrs. Sarla Mishra, Mrs. Sangeeta, and the ever-committed Asha workers carried out the vaccination drive with warmth and precision.
Their gentle approach and reassuring words made even the youngest children feel brave. Smiles replaced fear as each vaccination brought the school community one step closer to a healthier tomorrow.
A Team Effort That Made a Difference
Behind the scenes, the school staff worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Daljeet Singh, Mrs. Karampal Kaur, Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, and Mr. Somdev coordinated the logistics, maintained order, and ensured that every child was safely vaccinated.
At the end of the day, Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria extended heartfelt gratitude to the health team, school staff, and parents for their enthusiastic support and cooperation.
Health is the True Wealth
The MR Vaccination Camp at Akal Academy Gomti was more than just a health drive it was a lesson in responsibility, teamwork, and compassion. It taught students that caring for one another’s well-being is the essence of true humanity.
Through this initiative, Akal Academy once again demonstrated that education is not limited to books and classrooms it is about nurturing healthy, aware, and responsible global citizens.
