Last week, a dedicated team from The Kalgidhar Society, Baru Sahib embarked on a meaningful journey to Gurdwara Amardas Darbar Sikh Society, located on David Road in Kelowna, British Columbia. What awaited them was more than just a visit it was a heartwarming reminder of how deeply kindness and community spirit run within the Global Sikh Sangat.

The moment the team stepped into the Gurdwara, they were embraced with immense love, respect, and genuine hospitality.

Seva – The Foundation of Rural Transformation
The Kalgidhar Society’s mission is simple yet powerful – “Spread education, Uplift rural communities, and Transform lives.”
Through the generous support of the sangat worldwide, this mission is reaching thousands of children in remote villages giving them the gift of education, dignity, and hope.
Every act of seva during this journey big or small became a shining example of how collective effort can plant seeds of change that grow for generations.

Throughout the visit, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, service, and unity. Sangat members came together with open hearts, proving once again that when communities unite with purpose, miracles begin to take shape.
