A Spiritual and Educational Experience
Akal Academy Khamanon organized its first-ever Religious cum Educational Trip to Shri Anandpur Sahib on October 19th. This holy pilgrimage was a soul-stirring experience for the 197 students from classes II to VII, along with 25 students from Akal College, Khamanon. The students embarked on this journey with immense zeal and enthusiasm, eager to explore the rich Sikh heritage and history.
Exploring the Sacred Sikh Land
During the visit, students had the divine opportunity to pay obeisance at various historical and spiritual landmarks:
Takhat Shri Kesgarh Sahib – One of the five Takhts of Sikhism, the birthplace of the Khalsa.
Quila Anandgarh Sahib – The fortress built by Guru Gobind Singh Ji for protection and strategic defense.
Bouli Sahib – A sacred stepwell where Guru Gobind Singh Ji once took rest.
Virasat-e-Khalsa – A magnificent museum showcasing Sikh history and culture.
Guru Ka Lahore – The historic site associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s wedding.
Parivaar Vichhora Sahib – A memorial symbolizing the tragic separation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji from his family.
Tibbi Sahib – A significant place where Guru Ji strategized battles against Mughal forces.
A Spiritual Connection Through Gurbani
One of the most divine moments of the trip was when the students and staff recited Gurbani at Guru Ka Lahore with deep devotion. The session concluded with Ardaas for Charhdi Kala (eternal optimism and upliftment) of the Akal Family and Sarbat Da Bhala (welfare of all).
This pilgrimage was not just a trip—it was a soulful journey of learning, reflection, and devotion. The students returned with a deeper connection to Sikh values and a newfound appreciation for their glorious heritage.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
