Mahikpreet Kaur, a girl from an underprivileged background in a village in Cholla, District Tarn Taran, is a shining example of how education can bring change in anyone’s life. Mahikpreet Kaur has been studying FREE of Cost under the Educate To Save scheme at Akal Academy since 2013, as she belongs to a financially weak family. Her father, Tarlochan Singh, is a Driver, and her mother, Harjinder Kaur, is a housewife.
Mahikpreet Kaur’s Exceptional Achievement in Academics
Mahikpreet Kaur, a student at Akal Academy Dhotian, became a District Topper in the Arts stream in CBSE Grade 12th Results by securing 91.8%. She scored 96 in History and Political Science, 90 in Economics, 91 in Punjabi, and 86 marks in English. Mahikpreet did not let her financial condition come her way. She was always determined and focused on her studies. She scored 91% in her Grade 10th. Not only this, she was active in extracurricular activities as well and participated in several Debate Competitions.
The start of her Journey to Becoming a District Topper
Although Mahikpreet’s parents are school pass-outs, they always wanted their daughter to achieve high and supported and motivated her to study more. She took admitted to Akal Academy Dhotian in Grade 2nd on the recommendation of her cousin already studying there. Earlier, she was studying in a Convent School.

She considers getting admitted to Akal Academy as the best life-changing decision. The environment at the Academy was different from her previous school. The strong family values of her dedication to the nation run in her family’s also wants to serve the nation, help those in need and further become an IAS officer. She also see videos on youtube from where so got inspired to pursued her career in civil services and then Akal Academy teachers helped her and motivated her to pursue her aspirations Her role model is her Uncle, who is in Punjab Police
