Running a few kilometers is challenging for most, but running 70 kilometers daily for 5.5 months is an extraordinary feat. Dharmendra Kumar, a resident of Bangalore, is achieving this incredible milestone. Covering 12,000 kilometers, he runs daily to spread the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji: “Work hard, pray to God, and share your earnings.”
The Start of the Marathon Journey
This awe-inspiring marathon began on March 17, 2019, from Gurdwara Bebe Nanaki in Sultanpur Lodhi. Dharmendra Kumar aims to complete the journey by August 30, 2019, as a tribute to Guru Nanak’s 550th birth anniversary.
Daily Route and Milestones
On his first day, he ran from Sultanpur Lodhi to Ludhiana, stopping at Gurdwara Pehli Patshahi in Nakodar and Nurmahal. From Ludhiana, he reached Sangrur, Pehowa, Karnal, and Panipat, covering 70–75 kilometers each day. Dharmendra visited various Sikh historical sites and received immense support from the Sikh Sangat.

Dharmendra’s path includes visits to sacred Sikh sites, such as Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Patna, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Kanyakumari. The journey retraces Guru Nanak’s teachings and highlights the importance of unity and brotherhood.
